SAICHO Ltd.様は、"Sparkling Tea, Single Origin" を掲げる、英国発のプレミアムスパークリングティーブランドです。宮崎県五ヶ瀬町の茶園、宮﨑茶房の希少品種「みなみさやか」ウーロン茶を用いた新しいレアティーコレクション「MINAMI SAYAKA」の発売に合わせ、英国・欧州のお客様に向けたブランドフィルムと写真の制作をご依頼いただきました。 制作した映像や写真について、創業者のCharlie Winkworth-Smith様にお話を伺いました。

A Film Journey for a Sparkling Tea Story, Told Across the Sea

SAICHO Ltd. is a premium sparkling tea brand based in the UK, built on the concept of "Sparkling Tea, Single Origin." To mark the launch of MINAMI SAYAKA, a new addition to their Rare Tea Collection made from a rare oolong tea variety grown at Miyazaki Chabo, a tea garden in Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture, they asked us to produce brand films and photography for their customers across the UK and Europe. We spoke with founder Charlie Winkworth-Smith about the films and photos we created together.

We were preparing to launch Minami Sayaka, the newest tea in our Rare Tea Collection - a truly special sparkling tea. We wanted films and photography that could tell the whole story behind it: the tea itself, the tea master who crafts it, and the beautiful scenery where it all comes to life.

私たちは、レアティーコレクションの最新作となるスパークリングティー「みなみさやか」の発売を控えていました。そこで、お茶そのものだけでなく、それを作る茶師の想い、そして美しい茶園の風景まで、その背景にある物語のすべてを伝えられるような映像と写真を撮ってほしいと考えていたのです。

We were very lucky - you had already worked with the tea garden before, so we could see the quality of your work in the exact location we were hoping to film. Seeing that gave us real confidence that you understood the place and the people we wanted to capture.

We absolutely love the finished films and photos - they evoke so much beauty and emotion, and honestly, they're even better than we had hoped for.
